Dr Feranita
Coming from a family business background herself, Dr Feranita has over 15 years of experience working with business families, educating Nextgens of family business, and coaching startup teams. She is an internationally known academic, researcher, and practitioner.
With a rich global exposure spanning eight countries, Dr Feranita brings a wealth of experience, agility, and cultural intelligence to the team. Adept at working in an ambiguous environment and diverse teams, her mastery in English, Mandarin and Indonesian ensures smooth communication in various contexts. Dr Feranita adopts an innovative, structured, and analytical approach to solving today’s business problems, based on insights derived from her academic research background and practical experience.
Dr Feranita is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Law, Taylor’s University, Malaysia. She is also the founding leader of Family Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Centre (FEEC) at Taylor’s University. She received her PhD from Lancaster University, UK. Prior to that, she obtained a Master of Research in Management Sciences from ESADE Business School, Spain, and an MBA from Nanyang Business School, Singapore. Her research centres around family business, entrepreneurship, innovation, and university-industry collaborations. She has published in journals such as British Journal of Management, R&D Management, and Journal of Family Business Strategy. Her publications also include family business cases, book chapters, as well as media articles. She has been invited as a guest speaker at several universities and various events/workshops/seminars/training across the globe. She has also presented her research at conferences such as the Academy of Management, US, and conferences like International Family Enterprise Research Academy Annual Conference in several other European countries. She is also a certified professional coach.
